Confidence- Building and Parameters of Trust in Police |
Original Research, B13 Saedi A.M. and Ghasemnejad K. J. Educ. Manage. Stud., 2(4): 82-88, 2012 ABSTRACT: The current study deals with the ways of confidence building versus police and determines indices of trust-in- police. Thus, ways of confidence- building and trust-in- police indices have been examined and identified by conducting documentary- librarian exploratory method and through benefitting from viewpoints of the well- known domestic and foreign scholars and experts. Afterwards, by adopting the realized questionnaire which its validation was confirmed by Face Validity and its reliability by means of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient and with reference to attitudes from police experts, these parameters were finally verified and classified based on their priority. The results indicate that some factors like religious belief and good deed, justice administration, honesty, affection and kindred, personality, public supervision, police authority and task- doing and law enforcement, as some agents for confidence- building are purposed while some elements are respectively considered as trust-in-police indices such as participation in disciplinary affairs, sense of security, satisfaction with police, interaction with police, obedience to law/ rule of law (action based on disciplinary regulations) police authority and hope to future. |

The Relationship among Organizational Culture and Occupational Burnout in Personnel of TVTO Organization, Arak City |

Stud., 2(4): 89-96, 2012 ABSTRACT: This study is intended to explore the relationship among organizational culture and occupational burnout in TVTO organization, Arak City. Methodology of this study is of descriptive technique with correlation type. Statistical population of this investigation includes all personnel from Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO) in Arak City (Iran) in 2011-12 and the participants are 394 respondents. Method of sampling is of randomized classification with 190 respondents as sample size. Data and information gathering tool is Maslach and Jackson Burnout Inventory including 22 questions in 5 choice format within three dimensions: 1) Emotional exhaustion, 2) Depersonalization (cynicism); and individual inefficacy; and Organizational Culture Questionnaire based on Richard L. Daft comprising of 45 questions with five choices (according to LIKERT Scale) within four dimension; namely entrepreneurial, involvement, mission, and bureaucratic cultures where their reliability coefficients are respectively determined 0.87 and 0.89 by means of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient. In order to analyze data, SPSS 15 software was used. Also some descriptive techniques or statistics were utilized to compute mean, frequency percentage, the related tables and diagrams and inferential statistics was adopted for calculation of Pearson Correlation Coefficient, t-test, and multiple regressions. Findings of this study include: (1) There is a negative and significant relationship with correlation value (r=-0.499) among “organizational culture” and “occupational burnout” in personnel of TVTO organization in Arak; (2) There is a negative and significant relationship among “entrepreneurial culture” and “involvement culture” and “mission culture” with “occupational burnout” in personnel of TVTO organization in Arak; and (3) There is a positive and significant relationship with correlation value (r=0.253) among “bureaucratic culture” and “occupational burnout” in personnel of TVTO organization in Arak. Similarly, results of t-test indicated that there is a significant difference among female and male personnel of Arak TVTO organization in terms of occupational burnout so that rate of occupational burnout is at higher level in male personnel than in female employees. |

Offering a Performativity Pattern of Human Resources Strategic Management in Institutions Based on LENS Model |

Stud., 2(4): 97-104, 2012 ABSTRACT: The main purpose of this article is to offer a practical guide for strategic management of human resources in job institutions based on LENS model. This research was descriptive and used by Purposive sampling and 15 resources such as (books, articles and scientific findings). First the main factors of human resources are specified and as identifying manpower, actuation, training and optimization as well as retaining them is of great importance, these factors should be programed correctly in the process in order to supply a good advantage of competition in the domestic and international market with cooperation of institution with in-and-out environment. To this end, in this article the process of strategic programing of human resources is stated and based on views and strategic patterns of human resources LENS model is discussed in order to reach the maximum performance and influential allocation of resources. In this model the comprehensive program of strategic management of human resources, mechanism to apply every process in action plan and applying stages of each on is elaborated. |

Effectiveness of Metaphorical-Allegorical training Strategy in The Psychotherapy |

Stud., 2(4): 105-114, 2012 ABSTRACT: The present study aimed to examine the effectiveness of schema therapy based on conjunctive metaphorical-allegorical narrative training in the treatment of dysthymia disorder. A total of 40 patients suffering from dysthymic disorder, were recruited through the administration of structured DSM-IV (SCID), and using purposive sampling and subsequent to being qualified in accordance with therapeutic conditions, they underwent the treatment process. The study employed a pretest, post-test, follow-up design and the patients in the study received a five-month, twenty-session schema therapy based on conjunctive metaphorical-allegorical narrative training. Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) and Young Schema Questionnaire Long Form (YSQ-LF) were the research tools. Two-factor variance analysis with repeated measurement was employed to analyze the data. Recovery percentage was also applied to measure the clinical significance. Results: the data analysis revealed that schema therapy based on conjunctive metaphorical-allegorical narrative training led to significant reductions in symptoms and healing the early schemas. Moreover, there was no lessening of effectiveness with recovery rates in the follow-up study, two month after the treatment. The large positive treatment effects found in the schema therapy based on conjunctive metaphorical-allegorical narrative training suggest that this treatment is more successful in replacing maladaptive schemas with more healthy schemas, alleviating the severe symptoms of dysthymia, reduction of suffering a relapse in dysthymic patients and achieving clinically significant and relevant improvement as compared to Schema Focused Therapy or SFT. |

A Review of the Experts' Views/Opinions about Creativity and Strategies for Its Elevation in Teachers and Principals |

Stud., 2(4): 115-131, 2012 ABSTRACT: In this review, a number of experts' ideas about creativity and strategies to enhance the creativity of teachers has been investigated to come a fairly comprehensive conclusion. Managers and their management styles have a significant impact on the creativity of students and teachers. In the other word, creative people should have creative leaders. Creativity of a principal is considered as necessity for the creativity of staff and students. Nowadays, it has been proved that if knowledge is power, so the empowering people in the organization means sharing knowledge with them. The manager who gives, knowledge, information, and new ideas to his staff and students, forces their minds/make them to explore and provides the ground for their creativity. Principals' expectations, beliefs and management styles not only can affect their behavior, but also their students and teachers’ behavior and creativity as well. Manager who is supportive and tries to support thoughts and actions of people and prepares ground for them, undoubtedly affects the creativity of students and teachers. Nowadays, education experts consider creativity as one of the most prominent features of principals and believe that creative principals can provide the context for the emergence of talent in students and teachers. Creativity is included among issues about which i.e., its nature and definition, there is not any strong agreement between researchers and psychologists. Since, everyone has considered creativity from different dimension, variant definitions of creativity have been offered. While some definitions consider the personality characteristics of creative people, the others are attentive to process or product of creativity. So, obtaining comprehensive definition of creativity seems to be difficult. The overall result of the study showed that educational principals should give priority to educational leadership duties over administrative duties and main responsibility of a school principal is to create an environment that flourishes teachers’ talents and fosters their creativity, so that they can be creativity trainers to train the creative trainers. |
